The sessions which were attended by students
We have attended the lectures of Pala 2 for the first session
It was based on the Digital Design and Verification objectives, particles and advanced trends.
It was very much helpful for our Digital VLSI Club. Because the students who are new to this club they must have enhanced their knowledge by the lectures.
à Learned about the Digital Circuits, ALU, FSM and also the designing part.
à In the Pala 2 we have learned about the Circuit verification objectives.
We have attended the lectures of Pala 4 for the second session
It was based on Digital and Analog mixed signal ASIC Design flow with SCL 180 nm pdk.
àWe have enhanced our knowledge about the Digital and Analog mixed signal and also about the ASIC Design flow in this lecture series.
àWe have gained our knowledge about the FPGA and also the future scopes on that.

It was based on Security of emergent Autonomous Vehicles :from sensors to systems.

They held a quiz contest based on basic electronics. Some of us participated in it and got some goodies. They have given cups as a token of appreciation.

For Tech Mahindra we went to the stall and they have said that they gives us the opportunity for the internship. They gave us the QR code for applying. We filled the form and after that they gave us the email id where to send our resume.
After that they gave a diary and a pen along with a key ring as tokens of appreciation.
Mirafa Technology works on the RTL, Post silicon Validation, Digital Domain, System Verilog and also in analog domain.
For opportunities we asked for –
They said that currently they are not hiring fresher’s. They are only taking the experienced candidates.
We went to the Marvell stall. It was very much disappointing that they did not even know that Jadavpur University comes under Tier 1 college. After that we introduced ourselves. Then they said that for now they are not offering any opportunities for us as fresher’s. They have said that we can though send our resumes to them. After that they offered us a quiz. We attempted that quiz after that they gave a lucky draw winner prize to two of our members of Digital VLSI club.

For the placement season if training and placement cell contact them they may hire students.

They also can come to the campus during the placement season and they will take a bulk number of students and they will also give full time opportunity to the students if they are eligible for full time purpose. For getting ready for their requirements students must have to know the digital design, asic design, SoC, System Verilog and UVM.
Mathworks stall said that they have talked with Prof. Sayan Chatterjee sir that how the matlab code will be transferred as HDL code.
We have also talked with Indranil Hatai sir about the work culture of Mathworks.
We went to the Kaynes Semicon stall they have said that they work culture as it is end to end and IoT solutions enabled integrated electronics manufacturer. It also provides conceptual design and process engineering. As per now they will provide internship opportunity and the full time will be based on their requirements.
As the first note the director of this company is the alumni of Jadavpur University.
This company works on only analog domain. This company is based on analog electronics and RF IC design.
This company will give internship opportunity and also this company will provide full time opportunity. This company is located in Kolkata. Also it will hire a large number of students from the campus. During the placement season if the training and placement cell will ask them they will come to the campus.

In AMD stall we went and they have shown what they have done. Two of them were students from Korea they showed their project work based on the FPGA and also some of them were from Coreel they were saying that how they collaborate with AMD.
Tessolve Semiconductor said that they hire for interns and they will convert them as full time employee. They work on Digital design as well as asic designer engineers. They said to fill the form given by the QR code. We filled the form for letting them know about our area of interest.
Mirabilis Design is based on the Kerala. They only hire from Bangalore and Hyderabad. They said they hire interns but not from Kolkata. They gave their cards and said to send resumes to them.

We saw that apart from the Aries Vega 2.0 and Aries Vega 3.0 they have also launched another boards which are really new to the market . We watched them. If anyone wants to buy those boards they can contact to them.
They basically produced an oscilloscope and they showed it’s working principal. For now, they are not open for hiring purpose.
This is the company which works on analog domain.
